What a night!
Last night was a very big night for the Localize team, as Meghan (once again) led us to a big win, scoring 1st place in the TEC VenturePrize and the Edmonton Journal’s Peoples’ Choice Award!
The TEC VenturePrize annual business planning competition is now in its 12th year, and awards a whopping $200,000 in prizes to companies showing the greatest promise. Every year, remarkable companies like Innovative Trauma Care and LoginRadius have vied for the top prize, and this year was no exception. We’d like to extend our congratulations to our two co-finalists in the Fast Growth Category, Tactalis and Belgravia Tech Inc., and to the winners and finalists from the Student and ICT Telus competitions. It truly has been an honour to compete alongside these entrepreneurs and innovators.
This past month has been incredibly exciting for us, filled with opportunities from our participation in the VenturePrize competition. These included sending the team to the Innovate Calgary Pitching Bootcamp, having a professional 3-minute video made about our company’s vision, and A LOT of practice as we prepared for the gala and those sky cams.
We’d also like to extend our most sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us during this past month, whether by voting for us, giving us advice, or simply pushing us to always be better. Last night was a big night for our team, and we couldn’t have done it with out you.
